Cricket

Cricket is a 14h BLM branded Mustang. Her brand says she is 5, vet floated her teeth and confirmed she looks 5ish no older than 6.

I don't have much history on her but she has been here getting a tune up for 60 days. Very sound, healthy, easy keeper. Easy to catch, tie, and load. Rides bareback, english, and western. She currently lives outside 24/7 on grass with a large mixed heard and is middle in the pecking order.

Cricket is pretty quiet but I wouldn't say bomb proof. She has the makings for that though. She is suitable for an advanced beginner on up. Her perfect job is as a trail pony. She really enjoys being out on the trails with friends and will follow or lead. She doesn't mind if horses are right behind her or close next to her. She will hack out in our open field alone but prefers a friend on the trail. We have ridden her down the road with traffic going by and it doesn't bother her one bit. She would also be suitable for the grand kids to be led around on!

The only cons Id say she has is shes is a little green in the arena and as we were working on that she became a little ring sour where she didn't want to steer. She has never bucked, reard, bolted, bit, or kicked. She also gets extremely headshy if you try to work with her on bitting (meaning bridle with a bit). She trail rides all over for us bitless so we decided to stick with that. It took her a while to be ok with us putting a bitless bridle on after trying bitting for a week. Now she has no problem with us putting the bitless bridle on her.
